Membership Requirements

We have two requirements for being a part of the KBC family as a member.

The first is that you are a follower of Jesus Christ who has been spiritually reborn. Only Christians can be a member of the “church.” This means that you admit that you have sinned. Then, acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God’s only Son and that He paid the penalty of sin by His death on the cross. And finally that you trust Jesus Christ by accepting His forgiveness and commit to following Him.
Secondly, we ask that you follow Christ by being baptized by immersion after conversion.

Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it.

Invite Jesus Christ to come into your life and be the director (LORD) of your life.

Admit that God has not been first place in your life and ask Him to forgive your sins.

Believe that Jesus dies to pay for your sins and that HE rose, and is alive today.

How do I join the church?

You can walk the aisle following a worship service presenting yourself as a candidate for church membership. A counselor will then spend a few minutes discussing your decision with you. Following your meeting with the counselor you will then be signed up for our new converts class.
You can request membership by being transferred from another Church. You must be in good standing with your previous church family. A letter is also recommended from your pastor.

Three Practices for Committed Membership at KBC

Once you have become a KBC member, there are certain obligations and commitments that one needs to endeavour to keep. These help to shape spiritual progress and promote maturity of our church members. At the axis of all these commitments are three simple commitments which every member is expected to keep. These are called THE BIG THREE:

To faithfully be in corporate worship at this your home church.
To be a part of one of our small groups.
To become involved in at least one ministry activity through which you give service to the work of the Lord.
