• Baptism is different from infant sprinkling in that an infant who is sprinkled has not made a personal decision on his/her own.

• Baptism is a sign/symbol that one is ready to put the past lifestyle behind and begin a new lifestyle. 

• To be baptized is to say you want to be united with Christ (who died but still lives forever).

• Baptism is NOT about perfection.  No perfect person (a part from Christ) has ever been baptized.

• It’s a mistake to think that you first need to get things right before you get baptized.  This is a LIE of the devil …. And many get trapped by this lie.

• The baptized person is really like a new born baby.  All babies make mistakes.  Especially in their toddler years they mess up a lot … but they grow …… and make less of the mess as they grow.

• Baptism is saying that you have started your journey in Christ.  You can’t start a journey until you take the first step ….and that step is baptism.
